Tunghai University's Chinese Language Center (CLC) is situated on the western edge of the Dadu Mountain ( ¤j¨{¤s ) plain within Tunghai University campus. CLC's location, nestled within beautiful trees, flowers, and bird songs, makes it an excellent place for learning Chinese. Established in 1971, the earliest center of its kind in central Taiwan, the Language Center has adhered to its goal of developing Chinese language instruction and sharing the essence of Taiwanese culture with thousands of foreign students. The Center has developed its own local language instruction programs, Chinese teaching materials, and has raised the standard of Chinese instruction while keeping abreast of trends in Chinese language instruction. One outstanding trait of the Center is the size of classes: in order to provide an optimal environment for the maximization of student absorption and linguistic development, while providing increased opportunity for student-teacher and student-student interaction, class sizes are kept remarkably low.
1. 3 hours of morning class daily, 9:10 - 12:00
2. Wednesday: 3 hours of Calligraphy, 3:00 - 6:00
3. Thursday: One unit of Art and Culture class, 3:00 - 5:00
4. Every other Saturday: one field trip
