Welcome to the FLLD website

      When Tunghai University and the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature (FLLD) were first established in 1955, the FLLD had about 15 Major Program students and just a few teachers. Since that time there are now 420 FLLD students, 3,500 students taking English for non-majors, 48 full-time teachers, and 49 part-time teachers in the department.  In addition to English language, literature, and culture courses, the FLLD offer courses in German, French, and Spanish.  The FLLD also offers an M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
